Baby Daniel

Last night I had the honor of hanging out with Jodi and her newest addition...baby Daniel. I loved working with Jodi! She has three other kiddos so she certainly has experience with babies and she was so natural in the way she held him. Daniel was so cooperative too. A little "drunk on milk" as Jodi likes to put it, so he was giving us this one eye closed the other half open deal, but still...what an adorable baby! Thanks Jodi! I had so much fun! Here are a few of my favs.

Brooke & John

This was the weekend it dumped it all day long...but Brooke and John had such positive spirits and didn't let it ruin their special day. The reception was held at Brooke's dad's property, which is gorgeous, so when it finally did stop raining shortly after the reception started, we nabbed the bride and groom and headed out to grab some portrait images. There was such moody feel because of the light and the color it was casting across everything! It was fabulous! By the end of the day, everything had worked out wonderfully...and everyone stayed dry :O)

Mary & Mark

Another beautiful wedding at the lovely Drewmore Estate. Mary and Mark had a small and intimate wedding with just their close family and friends present. As always, great food and a beautiful location makes for the perfect setting for a sociable evening. It just brought a smile to your face to see the love that Mary and Mark have for each other.

Colleen & Mike

We were at the gorgeous Cescaphe Ballroom in Philly for Colleen and Mike's wedding back at the end of august. They held both the ceremony and reception there. It was beautiful! Colleen and Mike are so easy going and personable. What troopers they were for running around the city for some portrait images despite a little warm weather! We photographed Mike's sisters wedding last year, so it was fun to reconnect with some familiar faces. These people know how to dance, so we had a blast at the reception when the party started and the dance floor was open ;o) Here are a few images from the day...

Alicia & David

Wow! This wedding was incredible! I doesn't get much better than having amazing weather, a beautiful couple, and some really sweet details to the day! Alicia and David both just finished school to be vets for horses. I know there is a term for it that sounds way more professional...i'm just not smart enough to know it :O)

Alicia's headpiece/veil was sweet! Her grandmother hand made it and Alicia's mom wore it at her wedding! How cool that Alicia got to wear it too? And she totally pulled it off with style! She also wore a pin in her hair that was her great-great-grandmother's. Alicia's great-grandmother,, grandmother, mom and each of her sisters wore at their weddings as well! How cool to have a piece of that kind of history!

The ceremony was held in York at this little quaint church out in the country, followed by a romantic horse and carriage ride from the church to the farm where the reception was held. Alicia's family bought this cute farm and restored the barn and fixed the place up real nice! It was the perfect location for these two horse lovers. They entered down the long windy lane being lead by her dad on the bagpipes and David's brother on the drum. It was such a magnificent entry!!

Now, it's not often that I cry at weddings, but this one I couldn't help myself! Alicia had a special dance with her grandfather in honor of her grandmother who couldn't be there. The recording was of Alicia's great grandfather playing the piano and at the end he came on with a special message. Alicia's grandfather had not heard the recording in 40 years!! Explains why it was such an emotional moment for her dad's family, especially with the recording of his voice at the end! Hearing this old raspy voice come on, it was like it took you back to those olden days...you could even hear the crackling in the recording. Ahhhh...it was soooo sweet! I don't think there was a dry eye in the place.

Thanks guys for such an awesome day! It was a blast!!!

Just gotta put these up!

Hey folks! It's Nicola...and well as most of you know now I'm finally getting married. I cannot even describe my excitement...especially when it comes to the photography. I'm so lucky to be able to have two AMAZING photographers at my wedding ;o) Wedding plans are coming along wonderfully! I just bought my dress too :O) ehhhhh!

A couple of weeks ago, David and I headed to Moondancer to hang out with Daniel and his wife. It was a blast! Daniel was kind enough to capture a few images as the sun was pouring some gorgeous light in the vineyards! It was a little weird being in front of the camera but somehow Daniel made us look good :O) Thanks Daniel, you did and amazing job.

Lindsay & Matt

Lindsay = Spunky! Enuf said!
Matt = sweet guy! what more could a woman want?
Lindsay + Matt = trailmix with M&Ms... ;o)

Lindsay's smile is so contagious!! I love it! A very memorable and emotional ceremony followed by a funky-fied party! I mean comeon'...I've never seen someone run and slide under the bride's dress as she's on the dance floor! And guys doing back flips!?? Fun times...the images say it all!

Oh, I can't forget to mention about the image where Lindsay's dad stepped on her dress as he was going back to his seat after he gave her away. Hilarious! Look at his expression. I crack up every time i look at it!!

Sherri & Paul

Lovely Riverdale!! Another fabulous wedding at one of our fav locations. Sherri and Paul were so laid back and easy going. A lovely place, perfect weather, a sweet 150Packard, a fun-loving couple always makes for an enjoyable day!

Lydia & Amos

Sorry it's been a while since we posted! Things have been rather busy around here. We got through our busy month of august photographing 13 weddings. Phew! We had some fun times though...

Here are a few images from Lydia and Amos' portrait session. We were not able to photograph during the ceremony or reception but these guys were so great to work with for some party and couple portraits! We went to Twin Brook winery early in the morning while dew was still on the ground! Lydia walked around most of the time in her bare feet...how cute!!! The early morning made for some romantic lighting!
