Laurie and Jason - 05.09.08

What a sweet couple! Laurie and Jason were such a wonderful couple to work with. So easy going and laid back. Laurie was just so good at going with the flow! We were at wonderful Riverdale for their wedding, and with the rain, they were forced to move the ceremony inside...but it was still a beautiful ceremony with some really meaningful moments. And then the sun finally did come out so we were able to get some family photos and portraits!! It was a fun day and I was totally jealous when i overheard what I think was Laurie telling someone they were taking off two weeks for their honeymoon! Lucky ducks ;o) Hope it was fun! Here are a few picks we like...

A little behind on blogging...

I realized that after i posted an entry yesterday that we are WAY behind on posting some entries from the past few weddings we have done. We have been finishing up the final touches to the studio that seem to preoccupy us, what seems to be, all day! Then our phone and internet lines were cut before they were supposed to so we have thankfully been mooching off some wireless from a guy down the hall from us (he knows we are mooching so don't worry!) and Jeremy and Daniel have now taken on the responsibility of building our kitchen for the studio space. As you can see, we are busy, and in the midst of it all we still have to get our weddings done! That's where Amanda and I come in, so our apologies for not been consistent on our wedding pots.

So here is a wedding from the back in early may. Kristen and Ramsey were such a fun couple to work with and we had such a perfect day despite a little bit of chilly weather. I went to high school with Kristin, so it was fun being able to reconnect with some people i knew! And Ramsey is just Mr. Cool! So laid back and easy going. What melted my heart the most was how much he loves his niece and nephew. It was so cool seeing him interact with them through out the day. We had a blast, and their family and friends sure knew how to have a party! The reception was at Bent Creek, and once their band got everyone on the dance floor it was packed for the rest of the night! Here are a few of our fav images from the day.

Katie & Brian

Last weekend Jeremy and I headed out for a wedding a little disappointed that it was pouring rain... bummer...but we decided we had to make the best of it! Katie and Brian are such a sweet couple and it was cool to see that they weren't going to let the rain ruin their day!

Brian and his guys were all about their cars. They pulled all the cars in under the port and dried off their beauties. Brian even had to add a little shine to his too! ;O) After the ceremony it was all about leaving with a grand exit, the spinning of wheels, loud engines and smoke. It was fun!

But we were so thankful that by the time we got to the reception at Lauxmont Farms the sun was out so we snagged Katie and Brian for a few shots out in the grass. What amazing light! These two are so much fun! Despite the rain in the morning, it turned out to be a perfect day. We were honored that we could be a part of the celebration. Here are a few of our fav pics.

Construction update

Hey Everyone,

Well...we are in the final stages of finishing the space. There a few more details to finalize but soon...very soon I think we will begin the final move into the new home of Jeremy Hess Photographers. So here are a few more pics:

Daniel here - giving you a quick update on the new space. All is moving along well, although never quite as quickly as we would like. The painting has started and finished as of this post and the trim is almost complete. The concrete should be finished by the end of this weekend and if occupancy is okayed we should be able to start the moving process by the end of next week! AWESOME! We are still out of a phone connection in our office area but if anything is needed we are able to receive email and voicemail messages. We promise to return all contacts as quickly as possible! We look forward to seeing you in our new office.

Gimmie some smiles Colin!

Tonight i had the privilege of hanging out with Jill and Tommy Fanning and their 2 month old son Colin. They live out on some beautiful property. It was a blast getting to capture some family moments with them all out in the quiet country on such a beautiful night. Colin is such an adorable lil guy, and i hear he is usually full of smiles...but tonight for some reason he wouldn't bust them out for me :O( even so he is still cute as a button. Thanks Jill and Tommy for letting me spend some time with you guys! Here are my four fav images!

Hello everyone! This is Amanda ... blogging for the first time! We are so excited as our new space continues to progress. Today, new windows are being installed ... big, beautiful windows! We were collectively amazed at just how much light will be shed into the space. Here are a few images of the installation process!

Amanda Kirkham :: new employee

Hey everyone! As you can see there are lots of new things happening here at JeremyHess Photographers. Not only will we have a new studio soon, but we also have a new employee! Amanda Kirkham has officially joined us full time as a production assistant and 2nd photographer. She has been interning with us the past year as she finished off her senior year and now an official graduate from PCAD! CONGRATULATIONS AMANDA! We are so excited to have you on board with us!
